United Way Of The Coalfield Raises Over $18,000

Madisonville, KY – August 23, 2024

United Way of the Coalfield is thrilled to announce the success of our 4th Annual Golf Scramble, held at the Madisonville Country Club on August 23. This year’s event was our largest yet, raising over $18,000 to support our ongoing efforts in the community as part of our "Year of Impact" campaign.

Thanks to overwhelming support, we had to expand to two tee times, making it our biggest scramble ever! The event featured enthusiastic participation from local businesses and individuals, with teams coming together for a great cause.

A special thank you to our Presenting Sponsor, GE Aerospace, and our Meal Sponsors, Atmos Energy and Coal Pick Distillery, for their generous contributions. We also extend our gratitude to our Beverage Sponsor, First United Bank, and our 16 Hole Sponsors, whose support was invaluable in making this event a success.

Star 107.3 alongside On Main in Greenville sponsored a "best dressed" contest at the scramble.

“The community’s unwavering support truly shines at events like this,” said Ashley Alexander, Executive Director of United Way of the Coalfield. “We are incredibly grateful to everyone who participated, sponsored, and volunteered to make this year’s scramble such a success.”

Funds raised from the scramble will directly benefit United Way’s mission to improve lives in Hopkins, Muhlenberg, and Caldwell Counties by tackling some of the community’s most pressing needs.
