Star 107.3 - We're less than a week away from the 2024-25 basketball season and with that comes preseason polls, hype, and all that in between. The 2024-25 official 3rd Region Preseason rankings were released this week and it saw your hometown Mustangs coming in at #6. The Mustangs are coming off a (9-23) season in 2023-24 but there's MUCH reason for optimism. Yes, the Mustangs lose 3rd Region star guard Madox Jernigan but they return the bulk of their production and added ALL 3rd Region performer Gunnar Revelett. Butler County enters #1 followed by Daviess County, Owensboro Catholic, Grayson County & Owensboro rounding out the Top 5. The rankings are voted on by media members throughout the 3rd Region. The Mustangs season opener is Tuesday December 3rd at Home VS Hopkins County Central!
