GREENVILLE, KY- Coach Aaron Morris knew heading into the season he had something special in the 2024-2025 boys basketball team. If you asked him if he knew it would be this special, he’d likely say yes. These boys are good. Strong play behind Seniors Gunnar Revellet and Jace Sommers has propelled the Mustangs to wins in their first two games.
Hopkins County Central came into Mustang Gym and fought back from being down
20 to almost best the Mustangs, but confident play behind Kason Morris and Gunnar Revellet helped close the deal on Tuesday. Friday at Mustang Gym saw the first of two nights in the Farmer’s Bank & Trust Tipoff Classic. The Mustangs took on a stingy Warren East team who was coming off a win earlier in the week themselves. The Mustangs controlled the tempo most of the game, but timely outside shooting and good penetration kept Warren East in the game. Overtime was a 50/50 battle, but a curious charge, good defense, and an explosive layup by Kason Morris helped clinch the game in the waning minutes.
The Mustangs are back in action tonight against Clarksville Northeast! Game will start at 7pm.
