Hartford, KY – The Hartford Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in locating a suspect involved in a hit-and-run incident that took place early this morning.

At approximately 8:14 a.m., officers responded to reports of a crash on Gillespie Street, where a vehicle had left the roadway and damaged multiple properties before fleeing the scene.

Following an investigation, police discovered the vehicle behind a residence on Smith Street, partially covered by a tarp. The vehicle showed damage consistent with the hit-and-run. Registration records and homeowner interviews confirmed that the car belonged to Cody Davidson of Utica.

According to witnesses, a male matching Davidson’s description was seen operating the vehicle before it veered off the road. The homeowners told police that Davidson arrived at the residence before fleeing on foot.

Authorities are now seeking information on Davidson’s whereabouts. He is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing approximately 164 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Ohio County Dispatch at 270-298-4411, the Hartford Police Department at 270-298-3379, or send a message via the department’s Facebook page.

This is an ongoing investigation, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
